I don't see a decent package available from Vegas.

Too bad the Flames were a bridesmaid on the the Eichel trade. He would have been a far better franchise player than Huberdeau.

There’s gotta be at least one other sucker GM and pro scouting staff out there that likes the guy. People were drowning themselves to get a piece of Hamonic and Hanifin is 5x the player he was.

Still a little early in the season. Teams don’t know if they are for real or small sample size. I’d be very surprised if any team would be willing to give up a first rounder this year without at least top ten protection.

Tanev back to Vancouver makes a lot of sense too.
They've always regret letting him go and would pay a returning home/played great with Hughes premium for him.

When I first saw that I thought I saw Flames pro scouts at TMZ. I wasn't really surprised...TMZ might be better at evaluating pro players.

There is no spot for him with Hughes as the Hughes-Hronek pairing is elite right now.
Now, Tanev to Toronto at the deadline is my bet.

The 9.3 is nothing but a rumor, so I don't put much stock in it, but he'll get something pretty comparable to Lindholm for sure.

Just need to get Treliving to repeat the Hamonic deal.
Hanifin to Toronto for a first and two seconds.

I think Hamonic had a low cap hit with some term left.
Unfortuantely, Hanifin is a pending UFA and hardly any teams have cap space at the moment, including the Flames.
Would be nice though. Hanifin is also quite a bit better IMO.

Correct on Hamonic cost and term, from The Hockey Writers;
Former second round draft choice Hamonic is on a very friendly deal, $3.8M over the next three seasons without any sort of trade or movement clauses - 444 games played 26 goals and 146 points

The tragic thing is that Kadri plus a first for Monahan is a deal Montreal says no to.

After watching Lindholm this season, anybody that gives him a AAV of 9.3MM is not fit to run an ice cream shop let alone be a GM.

Coyotes might take a hard, long look at Lindholm or Hanifin if they wanted to have a shot at making the playoffs with some more depth. Look at all of second round picks they have in the next 3 drafts. Surely they can use those to acquire some upgrades. Maybe even get a conditional 2nd/1st depending on if they ake the playoffs.
Moser + 2 2nds for Hanifin would be nice, or Lindholm for Guenther and 2 2nds. I think Guenther is still a great prospect, already has 33 NHL games on his belt, not sure why he didn't make the team but I imagine he would next season.
Could also go for Geekie, Hayton, McBain, Jenik, etc. Hayton+ for Lindholm would also be a great grab.
