The McMiracle on Whitemud makes this game even worse.

Flames jerseys look good.

Gotta win this one. Doesn’t matter how bad the Flames are, can’t outsuck the Oilers.

I'm sure we'll all be satisfied with the officiating for this one.

Over under on Oiler power plays? What’s the record in an outdoor game?

The Oilers do have a knack for breaking Markstrom so that is good I guess if you are on team tank.

Hopefully they crush the Oilers tonight as a high point then begin the great sell off and rebuild.

I'm low on this current team but no way in h### am I cheering for a loss to the Oilers at an outdoor game. That's absolutely ridiculous

If anyone could be on his deathbed due to an oblique injury and recover within a week it would have to be McDavid.

Anyone cheering for a loss today needs to have their head examined.

Thankfully I'm working today, so I'm gonna miss most of the game. I'll just be crossing my fingers for a Flames win.

Never thought I'd ever hear myself say I'd rather be at work than watching a hockey game, but we all know this is going to be an unbearable broadcast with McInjury back in the lineup.

If you’re cheering for a loss against Edmonton you need to turn your fan card in.

Hopefully despite the lack of precipitation in the forecast they've got the shovels and brooms staffed up enough to clear all the jerseys off the ice.

That would be pretty impressive to throw a jersey that far.

Not if it’s a coach or a player doing the jersey toss.

I speak only for myself here.

I'm apathetic. I have been for a while. That won't change until the mandate for the team changes.

A win here is great because it's against the Oilers and will further their own hysteria. Another loss perpetuates what most of us are already aware of. The only way either team can start a winning streak right now is by playing each other.

I can certainly see some extra GAF from both teams tonight, which may convert to some more exciting gameplay. Even if the Flames somehow come out guns blazing with a sudden burst of chemistry, how long will it last? Could they harness it for 3 whole periods? Another game? 3 games? 10 games?

I suppose the cliche here is true. Just try to enjoy the spectacle today and continue those large doses of hopium of some sort of improvement.

I remember back in 2004, watching the Flames and their improbable playoff run in my mother's little senior's apartment. I'd go over and watch on her little 23 inch CRT television, mom would have her Flames jersey and pennet, and she'd have milk and cookies for me when I arrived. Sure, I watched some games at home, and some at various bars, but the best ones were at my mom's place.
Of course, in 2005 there was no hockey, and in 2006 when the playoffs started my mom was on her fourth and ultimately final battle with cancer. She was in a hospice now, and we tried to watch games, but mom was tired and slept a lot, and the Flames' series with Anaheim was only a small part of that horrible spring.
I went over one day, one of the last days, and some other family members were there - distant ones, out-of-towners - and mom was wearing an oiler jersey, and they were all going to cheer for edmonton as they played Anaheim in round 2. I was invited to stay, and my mom whispered that I should stay, and cheer along with them.
I left.
There is absolutely no scenario where I will cheer for the oilers, and to cheer for a Flames loss against them should be a jailable offence.

Fully expect to see somewhere between 4 and 6 Mcpowerplays this game.

Cut it in the middle and call it 5,

I predict 5 Mcpowerplays in tonight's game.

I want the team to sell everything, but not winning this game is unforgiveable. Win this game!

The McDavid slobber fest today will be unbearable, I’ll have to mute the TV for every intermission
