Watching other teams play today has completely reaffirmed my thoughts that we have ZERO exciting players. Sad state of affairs with my beloved Flames right now.

On obvious penalties...can't try and kill a penalty with 5 players

A few to many ?

Of course you can have 5 players on the ice if you want on a penalty kill,
though only if you have goalie pulled.

If you care at all about spelling someones name correctly, Elias's name has 2 t's and 2 s's.

As I commented above , both teams were good
and the little bit in to this season so far
fun to watch.

Yeah we caught some of the Buffalo-New Jersey game on TV in a restaurant last night and my boys and I all noticed how exciting and fun it was to watch. The opposite of the Flames right now. Good chance to just be a hockey fan this season and put the team allegiance on the back burner.

Whale team good. Very happy with this performance. Gutted out a point in a game they gave up two 5om3 power plays on the second night of a b2b, against a good team with a world class goalie and their own back up in net.

Certainly not something worth planning a parade over, but a positive way to lose a game.

Folks should just be happy there are a couple good teams in Western Canada with Vancouver and the Jets. The Flames will get there as well.

In other news Monahan looks great this year. If he stays healthy I will predict a 30 goal 60 point season.

I don't care about his name

You Canuck fans disappear for years when they suck and suddenly come running to CP after a couple wins. That OT missed call wouldn't even be in the top 1000 of Flames bad calls...like I said the defender wasn't the one with his leg out.

Also the 5 on 3s were warranted. Puck over glass and too many men ..make a dumb mistake, pay the price.

All that being said Canucks in over the Oilers would still be nice.

Old Pete should be making 15M...I hope he scores 150 points.

If you don't care about taking the effort to spell someones name that says something about you.

No I haven't disappeared for years. And I posted when the Canucks lost a game, not when they won.

I happen to be a Flames fan and also a Canucks fan if you can handle that. I don't post very often on CP as I don't think many could relate to that and I don't feel like trolling. I do enjoy reading CP though almost every day for several years.

Just put him on mute. The general experience gets better.

it wasn't just directed at you...there have been a few of these lately though when it comes to Canuck fans

That is correct although the CBC channel has always been secondary since Sportsnet took over the national television deal. The stinkin' Leafs can be put on that channel. The Habs are usually on Citytv. The big problem is when the regional Sportsnet channels are also showing the Leafs on CBC games besides the Ontario channel instead of another HNIC game.

Last Saturday, the West channel was showing the Leafs-Lightning game instead of the Canucks-Panthers which was only on the Pacific channel. Two weeks ago, the Pacific channel had the Wild-Leafs game on and should have had the Flames-Penguins instead.

Complaints have been happening!

For the November 11 games, it gets confusing. The Canucks-Leafs game is only on Sportsnet, the Flames-Seantors is only on Sportsnet ONE, and the Bruins-Habs is on CBC and Citytv.
