Problem with betting on other sports is when a player gets in trouble with a bookie and needs money badly

Maybe he placed a bet that he wouldn't have a contract to start the season. Or bet that he would be suspended for betting.
So meta. Or "beta", in this instance.

I will just say it but I think sports betting with pro athletes is a LOT more prevalent than we might be lead to believe. These players are into the pools, the poker, the cards and watching other sports and leagues.
It's too easy to just throw in some money on players and on games when you are as involved as these players are. These players in these sports just know and are involved.
I think Pinto is one of the few players who just got caught.

Can confirm. Lost the bet to Dino, reached out, told me to donate the money to charity so I did.
On topic, I’m surprised the NHL cares so deeply about its integrity. That doesn’t seem to be the case given its actions in a few different other areas of its management of the game.

I've been sick so my brain is mush but I'm confused.
Does or doesn't the suspension kick in until he's signed?
For instance, Noodles still has 3 games to be served on his chop on Franzen back in the day. But didn't play again so never served them, also I don't think they prevented him from coaching.
Shouldn't the count start once Pinto signs is QO? Sorry I've read both he's serving now and not serving yet online and am confused.

It starts from Game 1 of the year. And they waived the need to have to sign by December 1 to play this year. Basically, he will be signing his qualifying offer and will be able to play game 42

Do you think Pinto is more or less valuable to the Senators after this? Especially considering new owner, expectations for the team this year and lackluster performance thus far?
The odds just improved slightly.
