Spider-Man 2 living up to the hype in my books. Having a ton of fun with the game and enjoying the story some far only about 3 hours in.
I'm about 4 hours in and feel same way, like that they added to the combat and you can legit feel a difference in fighting with miles vs Peter if you use the abilities
Story is great, insomniac is crushing it with these, really excited for what they do with wolverine which sounds like it's coming next year

I'm also loving Spider-man... although I seem to really hate the dialogue. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I just find a lot of the exchanges excruciatingly cheesy. The strain of devastation in their voices over every little problem makes my eyes roll. Oh no. The bees.
Miles Morales (the game) was far worse for this. We get it. Your dad's dead and you're sad. Be more like Batman. Perhaps that's my problem. I just want everyone to be more like Batman.

I lied when I said my next game would be TOTK. For whatever reason it’s just not really grabbing me right now. I’m sure I’ll go back to it later.
About 5 or 6 hours into Spider-Man and I echo everyone else in this thread. Super fun, great set pieces, and has that “just one more thing” nature to it. I too find a lot of the dialogue kind of cheesy though.
Starfield
Spider-Man 2
Cyberpunk
TOTK
Mario Wonder
Alan Wake 2
I spent the weekend with Mario Wonder, Spider-Man 2, and Dave the Diver. All three are at least 9/10 games that all provide something totally different.
Of all the superheroes, isn't Spiderman kinda the most cheesy? Being a teenager/growing up and the quips during the fights is so inherent to the character I thought.
I played through the first few areas of Mario Wonder with the wife on the weekend. It's a lot of fun! She doesn't like 3D games, and this is a wonderful game to play couch co-op with her.

So started playing season 2 in Diablo 4 and my character is level 28 and I have yet to find any crafting gems at all. Is there no gems in season 2?
Gems don't drop as finished gems. They now show up as fragments in the materials tab. You can then go to the Jeweler and craft the gems you want.
Lots of really good quality of life changes as well, like having stashes practically everywhere you need them. Great move forward, still a bit off from expectation as it needs a true endgame and would benefit from leaderboards.

I’ll be busy well into the new year
Lot's of fun games in all genres right now, really happy the wait for next gen games is over.
I am also really looking forwards to Alan Wake 2, Remedy is one of my favorite dev studios and I am just wrapping up Alan Wake Remastered before the release!

After several months and what seems like dozens of 15-30 minute play sessions, I just can't get off that first island cluster in Zelda! I hate building and crafting little ships and devices to do things, I forgot how much it pisses me off when my rickety piece of garbage sword breaks, if I have to stew up one more goddamn cold resistant chu-chu-kabob I'm going to lose it.
If you're a fan of Wing Commander like I am, this looks to be right up our alley.
Gillian Anderson, Mark Hamill, Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Mark Strong, Ben Mendelsohn, John Rhys-Davies and more are in it.
I can't believe they actually delivered this...I paid for this in 2011! My handle is already reserved as Wing_Commander. I never got my dog tags from them though, they got my kickstarter $300 11 years ago
Spider-Man is a great game when you're actually being Spider-Man. I almost fell asleep playing last night wandering around a building as regular Peter, feeding fish and solving simple puzzles. And yes it was a mandatory story mission. Every Sony game going this direction with so many long boring walk-and-talk sections.
