For all the people saying “we’re only X games into the season”…
Zadorov’s comments today show that they in the room are concerned already too. There is a real problem with this team, and we are in a world of trouble for years to come.
Tell me one positive thing about this franchise, aside from perhaps Wolf.

Garbage perimeter play, nothing's changed from last season because the personnel doesn't have what it takes. They can't out strength defenders in the middle of the ice, they can't complete more than 1 crisp pass, they can't fire off any dangerous shots. And all that might be okay if they could defend or if the goalie was all-world Kipperesque, but jury is out on this systems change still and Markstrom's still good for one softie.

No. It’s been too many of the same guys for years. They are not talented enough.
What is it about Huska that you hate so much and that you hated before the season?

When the team can't move the puck in the offensive zone and just turn it over that is on Ryan Huska. His team's don't score a lot and they don't defend well this year either. Coaching matters more than anything. The history of the NHL is full of average teams making the playoffs because they had a good fit at coach.

To be fair, I really hated how Sutter treated people last season.. but it may very well have been a much bigger roster problem than a coaching problem.

Rhett brought up a good point on barn burner. What can Huska do when it comes to venting his frustrations with this group or chewing them out? Can you be the tough boss in this situation given the circumstances of last year? Essentially is he powerless with this group because of how they chased away Darryl? Will they tune him out and quit on him to if he is the bad guy?
I guess it doesn’t really matter because this roster just isn’t talented enough to get the job done. At some point there has to be some type of acceptance with management that this team and the way it is constructed is seriously flawed.

My god this comment is just so dumb. It’s the same group of players doing the same things they did all last year. I just can’t imagine blaming the coach in his 7th game when there was virtually zero roster turnover. I can think of 20 other things to be upset about first.

I'm not blaming the referees, but they definitely contributed to this. Ignored the Vesey thing, and then either ignored or missed Shesterkin illegally playing the puck in the corner. Flames played well enough to win, 56.4% according to MoneyPuck.
That's why I said a solid effort isn't enough, they need to win. Now we will all be complaining again.
