No, I like the sign of life that I'm seeing from the Flames. Duh

The Flames demonstrating elite perimeter puck possession.

It is starting to seem like this team is not great. Like they are average or something.

I wish effort gave points. We’d be like 7-1

Man thought they had something cooking there. That last pass from Tanev back to Lindholm at the top of the circle put the brakes on everything though.

Mitch Love's Caps aren't looking any more inspired this season. So it looks like the Flames' coaching finalists so far are falling flat.

Huberdeau just seems to hold the puck a half second too long and forces a pass. Always hitting skates.

The forwards were getting to the front of the net there too, Tanev or Gilbert needed to take shot there...
Really though throwing Huberdeau-Lindholm-Kadri out for the offensive zone draw, and then putting Gilbert and Tanev out there is a choice.

Like I wonder how much effort the Rangers are putting in right now. I'm sure any team with a lead will happily concede the perimeter just to run the clock down.

Of all the players they could've traded, they dealt the only one that can put the puck in with any semblance of regularity.

To be fair Love's just an assistant and I can't be the only person that didn't have high expectations for the Capitals this season.

Last season we had a hall of fame coach who got us within one point of a playoff spot despite having the 23rd ranked NHL goalie tandem in the league, and apparently being “toxic”.
This year it looks like we’re going to miss by about 50. I suppose you could blame Sharangovich. But really… maybe there was a reason Sutter was being a d-bag.
Holy crap are we awful.
