Suspension? it was a 2 minute penalty, why would they suspend someone for that play.

Charging is about accelerating into the hit while traveling distance. He’s gliding, and doesn’t accelerate into the hit.
It’s boarding, not charging.

Rule 42 of the NHL rulebook dictates that charging "shall mean the actions of a player or goalkeeper who, as a result of distance traveled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner.
it could be either honestly but its certainly a charge by this definition...gliding doesn't matter
Scheifele was gliding
they are on skates, you can gain momentum with gliding

I think you guys misunderstand, or I wasn’t clear. I fully agree the specific hit Andersson threw was bad.
My gripe is with people that say the idea of throwing a hit is unnecessary. Cobra, your last sentence is exactly what I’m saying should have happened, hence I have no issue with Andersson throwing a hit. Just not that hit.
I’ve seen some people say throwing a hit there at all was a bad move. That’s where I disagree.
Fully agree that the hit he threw was bad and suspension worthy.
