Me too. Owners of all the cars left abandoned on the side of city roads last night probably feel that way as well.

Has anyone been on the west ring road yet this morning? Need to get to Winsport from south of town.

I freaking love work from home options on days like today. It looks gross out there.

Drive from deep south Calgary to airport was a little slick this morning. I have awd and good winter tires but was still sliding around a little. It's a slow go out there.

I am really going to miss working from home as I start a new job next month and it is old school O&G with 100% in the office. My current job has a lot of flexibility and I usually only go to the office two days a week.

Deep SE into downtown wasn’t awful but it sure was slow going. But better that it’s slow going than a million accidents.

My studio is undergoing renos, so it's all work from home rn for last week and this week - watching the MASSIVE, barely moving line on Bow Trail / Sarcee Trail from my living room window while I wear my sweats and sip my coffee working from home has been great, not going to lie haha.

Drive from Sage Hill to Quarry Park this morning was ok, took about 1.5 hours (normally takes about 45 minutes in regular morning rush hour). It was slow, but steady, so the 1.5 hours didn't feel too too bad. Most people on the road at least recognized conditions and drove for it, so I guess I'm pleasantly surprised.

I know it's a defect, but those purple/blue street lights illuminating the fresh snow... it is very pretty.

Both Deerfoot and memorial look like they’ve barely been plowed. Memorial has full on snow drifts. Apparently we’re still doing the “wait for it to melt” snow clearing strategy?

Yeah, but in fairness this is pretty much our 'worst case scenario.'

It wasnt a dump of nice fluffy snow, it was essentially rain that froze and then got damp snow on top of it that has turned to ice or slush.

This crap is awful because you dont even have the good, dry snow on top to provide at least a little traction.

People who don’t brush snow off their vehicles suck. The ones who barely brush the sides of the roof, leaving a snowhawk, also suck.

Anyway I’m just trying to get snowhawk to become a thing.

Went out and spent an hour cleaning off the cars and the driveway.

Ended up snapping the scraper part of my brush off, trying to get the ice off the windshield after getting all the snow off.

One thing that I forgot about that I really hate in this type of weather is that running the heater in a vehicle dries out my eyeballs like crazy.

The problem is the heat accelerates the evaporation of your tear film.

Put a drop of this in your eyes in the morning. It will blur your vision for a couple minutes as it has a lipid component to it. Once those lipids spread across the tear film things will clear up and they form a barrier to prevent the evaporation of the tear film. Remember the Science experiment of oil on water? That is how your tear film works.
