Am I the only one who sees razor thin (sharp) wire here? Would we be introducing further unintended injury risk?
It would end fighting in a hurry. Only a true lunatic is going to take a swing at that with bare knuckles.
Just as with cat eye masks, there is still significant risk of getting a stick in the eye with a very open cage design. I suspect visors are safer for eye injuries unless you go with a similar pattern to current cages.

Even with visors the number of times you see a stick get caught in someone's helmet is surprising.
Also...have you seen 'Ice Wars?'
'Certifiable Lunatics' is probably a genuine and accurate medical diagnosis.
"Huh...fighting is dangerous...how can we make it more dangerous? Maybe we have them fight...on ice, which will hurt, while wearing armour...which will hurt...with boards...which will hurt?"
You think anyone is going to want to do that?
Certifiable Lunatics indeed.

New engine design with >60% thermal efficiency generating 160hp and 170ft-lbs torque weighing only 35 lbs. The actual engine is shown at 9:00 min, with a list of benefits after that.
Could be a great engine for hybrids, given it is air cooled and doesn't need much exhaust, so takes up far less space.

Based on that thumbnail, whoever designed that seemed to heavily draw influence from the Nintendo Switch and a mixing table, eh? The fuel (assumed) funnel thing also looks hilariously like a doctor's otoscope.
I'm sure it's great tech. I just childishly find the image funny for some reason.
Got tired of having to spend a couple of hours every other month to sharpen kitchen knives on a regular whetstone, so I picked up one of these after reading a lot of rave reviews
I was dubious about how well an electric sharpener would compare to a manual whetstone, but damn it makes a way sharper edge than I could ever manage in a fraction of the time. I had 4 knives that were heavily abused by my wife and her mom, and once I had the technique down it took no more than 5 minutes on each to go from rough chipped blades to the sharpest knives I've ever used. I'm sure a master sharpener could still beat the machine with high end stones, but for amateur cooks this thing is a game changer

For $400, I'd hope so!

? It's $240, which is cheaper than a lot of higher end stone sets
EDIT: I didn't realize there was a price difference between business accounts and regular accounts. We have Amazon business for my wife's home spa, which is paying off quite nicely apparently

Sweet! I had no idea business accounts had extra discounts like that; just signed up.
No need for a knife sharpener but hopefully find something else to save on.

Can you cut paper with it as well as you would after using sharpening stones?
It didn't take long to learn how to properly sharpen with stones and a strop. Nothing is as satisfying as that smooth paper magazine cut afterwards. I would never go back to pull through sharpeners for example. The amount of material they peel off is terrible nevermind the ####ty cut.

Better. I have a 1000/6000 whetstone from Amazon that I could get decent results with, but it would take about a half-hour per blade and I was never confident about the angle. The 15XV takes minutes and achieves the perfect 15 degree angle that I never could. I'm sure if I invested in more stones and took time to practice I could match or exceed the machine, but I have no desire to do that. I'm not a knife enthusiast, I just want a sharp blade to cook with. And yes I know the machine is taking more material off the blade than a stone will, but I'm not worried about slightly reducing the lifespan of my cheap Costco knife set
How often do you sharpen knives? I do mine between once and twice a year and find a ceramic hone is able to keep them in good shape provided certain individuals don’t use them.

If it was just me using them it'd be about the same, but my wife and her mother currently do most of the cooking, and they fall into the "certain individuals" category. I've given up trying to change habits and now just roll with the easiest solution
