I think the smartest thing to do would be to keep him. If the cost of shipping out 1 year of Monahan was what we saw, I would want no part of paying the cost of shipping out 6 years of Kadri.

I think we need a bottle of Marian Hossa’s laundry detergent

Putting Huberdeau with Kadri again, which failed miserably every time last year, was a baffling coaching decision

Definitely thought Kadri had more pride.

I have zero issues signing Lindholm, Hanifin or anyone currently on the team. At market or below. With no no trade clauses.

On a scale of 1 to 'Gary Busey' how drunk would you say you are right now?

Mason Raymond - 3 years, 3.17M per year
Troy Brouwer - 4 years, 4.5M per year
James Neal - 5 years, 5.75M per year
Nazem Kadri - 7 years, 7M per year

Not to mention giving away a 1st round pick to sign him to that contract. Yikes.

The narrative that Vladar is viewed as a potential #1 around the league is losing plausibility.

I think having these guys at reasonable deals will improve the return.

That’s all.

Should've dealt him when it was plausible.

You could see it going this way when he couldn't take the net over last year when markstrom struggled.

He was not good last year.

Neither was Marksttom.

But one of them wore it for both of them.

Marksttom has been very good. Vlader hasn’t.

I think Vlader would clear waivers.

Theres no shame. I started drinking at 3:00 when the puck dropped and I won't lie...the 3rd period got a little out of hand...

That was grim...

Why are they signing market level, let alone below market level, deals with no NTC?

I’m not happy with Kadri’s play and that’s definitely an issue for the team.

But rather than the coaches, I think it’s now an issue for the captain and the player leadership group to handle. They can surely see how he’s playing out there. The captain needs to make it clear with him what the expectations are for the players in the room.

The term and $ going up for each one.

It’s baffling he did this after just getting out of the Lucic contract.

It’s very frustrating.

He fell in love with his own roster. Lost objectivity and made moves out of desperation.

Treliving’s final 12 months on the job are the reason why General Managers should never be allowed to enter their final year.

…although, I have to believe that upper management/ownership had a big impact on those final 12 months. We all saw John Bean’s arrogance and love for this roster this past Summer.

It is kind of laughable that Toronto hired him, considering the condition in which he left this franchise
