Vladar gave up 6 goals against on 1.34 expected goals against, per Natural Stat Trick.
He's been below a .890 SV% in 12 of his last 14 games.
I don't get why he's still here.

Meh, again this is a borderline playoff team. The concern is with attendance falling and a new arena being approved. What does the future hold? The Flames desperately need high end picks the next few years.

Not a great game by the Calgary Flames.
Mikael Backlund with 1 point in 5 games as the new captain.
Would things be different with Mitch Love? Or Wolf in net?
For me - I am mostly disappointed the team continues to be boring. I hope that changes soon.

I'm honestly not even mad about this result, or the road trip as a whole.
This has to send a clear message to management that this team just doesn't have the horses to seriously compete. They went 1-3-1 on this road trip against 5 teams who didn't make the playoffs last year.
Don't resign Lindholm.
Don't resign Hanifin.
Start to recoup assets and start the rebuild. Enough with the perpetual mediocrity. How much more do you need to see?

Flames have scored 2 SHG and allowed other teams 1 PPG. With a PK that remarkably strong, the 5v5 play must be atrocious.
Unrelated, but Larkin looks like a really good PK player to me.
