Not sure about the views, but i a little while back i checked and only 3 of the last 7 or something had 10,000 posts. some were less then what this thread is at now.

The funny thing is if they blow this season and miss the playoffs the media jokers from SN and TSN will pick them to win the Cup again next year. They never learn that E=NFG

Trade-off for circumventing this year. However, like every year, something will likely happen that keeps them from having to follow the rules like everyone else, and they won't have to pay him a dime(against the cap anyway).

Of course they will - it will be the last year of Draisaitl's contract, so obviously they'll be really, really, REALLY motivated. And no one or nothing will be able to stop them!

These pundits are supposed to be the experts and 8 years into that circus they still can't see the pattern or separate stars from team performance.
Put Nurse on any other team with his cap hit and there would be articles about him being the most overpaid d-man popping up.

A couple word/pun related questions I have:
- "Blood, Sweatpants & Tiers" is growing on me as a possible E=NG thread title. But unless I'm missing something, is "Blood" a reference to something E=NG like sweatpants and tiers? If not, I feel like it's a missed opportunity if that word isn't a reference like "sweatpants" and "Tiers".
- did CalgaryPuck ever come up with a word for nights when Calgary wins and Edmonton loses? Because I need that word.

They do realize they're playing the Jets, right? In fact I don't think the Oilers have played a legit playoff team yet. Maybe the Preds?
