That's just a bone headed, disappointing hit by Andersson. I would be surprised if it's a relatively long suspension too.

Laine is also trying to score a goal on the EN, he could have just chipped it out

It's not a hockey play, it's in the last seconds of the game, is a blatant leap, and it's a hit to the head. Unfortunately I think that there are no gray areas here makes this an easy hit to make an example of.

How is hitting a guy with the puck not a hockey play? Laine thought he had time to score so they should just let him? Hit to the head is unfortunate but has more to do with Laine's position.

If he got a game I wouldn't be shocked but it wont be long IMO

Missed the game, just saw highlights. Raz hit was really dirty- poor decision on his part.

I say it's not a hockey play because all those things combine together to make it look like intent to injure. I don't know what else to say but I just don't like this hit and would want a long suspension if it was against a Flame

Come on. Just chill it with the pom poms. If that happened to a Flame you'd be asking for 5 games.

Another good effort from 18-17-71. Really becoming a big Gilbert fan and am starting to think he could even move up from #6 over time if he keeps his play up and remains consistent.

Markstrom is getting into a decent groove and played well under fire tonight, but thought it was a decent effort all around for a back to back with travel.

Huberdeau always seems surrounded to me, but still gets pucks through. Kadri always seems wide open and throws pucks into skates.

SN panel said no suspension...Flames homers I guess
Who knows with this league I said I wouldn't be shocked either way...IMO far worse has gone unpunished.

I would not say 5 games if it happened to a Flames player. Suspensions don't help the team anyway, it takes a player out when the play a competitor. I bet CBJ wants Calgary to beat Detroit.

Pretty silly of #4 to make that hit with a second left and now be looking at a few games forced to sit on the pine.,

At least Andersson won’t have to go to Detroit again.

I would be shocked if he got more than a game for that. It was predatory but Laine was bent over. Feet leave after contact. Shoulder to shoulder but it looks like a headshot because he’s falling over.

I liked it tbh we need more guys who care and pissed when they lose

He willl get 1-2 games because of the way it looked but really it's not anywhere near a head hit if Laine isn't so low.

Excellent point. Suspensions should be served against whoever the fouled team designates.
