Default Flames 4 Sabres 3

Flames 4 Sabres 3

- Vladar solid after a rough first period
- Flames limit the Sabres to little five on five
- Even up their trip at 1-1-1

I really enjoyed this game.

Both goalies were excellent.

Dube really paid the price on the game winner.

I didn't see any white behind the puck on the lengthy review play...

I didnt see any white either, but I sure hope in 2023 the league had better video then what we were shown on the broadcast.

100% not to have the high fps like the PGA tour.

Not sure if those cameras can do a wide angle.

They don't need it. Hockey pucks don't move fast like golf balls do.

Besides, they can't afford it. Hockey isn't a major sport like the PGA.

Potentially being an elite defensive team is like a girlfriend who wears granny panty brown underwear, the reliability factor is probably best in the long run but damn it isn’t very sexy.

The Buffalo PK is incredible. If i'm not mistaken they're 15/15 or 16/16 on the PK this year after tonights game.

It looked to me that Levi just got incredibly lucky as he squeezed the puck against the post keeping it out as I didn't see any film that showed the puck appearing to completely cross the line.

It's really nice to have a 4th line that can skate and actually hold their own on the ice. It definitely makes them a faster team overall.

They are pretty much dead even with Calgary: 93.8% and 93.3%. Second and third in the League.

What's crazy is how bad Calgary's PK is when you dig into what they're giving up.

Saved by goaltending ... .97 save percentage shorthanded.

2nd worst xGA60 in the league down a man behind Montreal.

Its been really good under Huska prior to this season.

Has it always been like that?

I don't feel like our PK is aggressive like Buffalo or Pittsburgh forcing the PP into turnovers and or keeping them to perimeter.

Last year they were the 2nd best team for xGA60 on the PK

I'm sure it will settle in ... it's the medium danger stuff that's getting away from them.

So Kadri? Is he dragging his line down?
Is he winning faceoffs ?
He's not taking penalties?

I understand he's a slow starter....wow....can't believe I just said that because I'm not cutting him any slack at all.

I just want to see more hear more about some glimmer of a.positive contribution from him.

Man I still just don't want him here....I'd take 4.more Greers on this team for what he's given us since coming In.....team guy and positive vibes .

We are also integrating new guys into the kill as well. Probably new pairings.

I think I have seen a lot of Sharangovich out killing as well.

He had a good game yesterday, and was in the battle.

Not sure Buffalo is the team he needs to start stuff with but it was a good game and his play drew 2 big penalties.
