Maybe that's the case. Just seems like Gaudreau had a lot more flair even if he wasn't successful.

Huberdeau also has 22 shootout goals which is more than any Flames past or present (I think)

We can get another $1.7M of LTIR(Pelletier + Rooney) + $1.7M from sending Oesterle and Hunt down. $3.4M isn't that much, but I don't know who will offer him more right now. Also, we might end up trading a D at some point this season.
I agree regarding a US contender. I just think he is exactly what the Flames need.

Missed the start and the goals but just saw the highlights. Vladar was brutal on both. One goal practically inside his net and the other down on his butt making himself as small as humanly possible.

Johnny always loved trying to go five-hole backhand on breakaway lol. I feel if he scored on most of the breakaways he had he would’ve had more than one 40 goal season

Totally agree. Flames need a real sniper, or just better overall shooting ability. Is there such a thing as a shooting coach? Like a real specialist, similar to skating coach.
