Beer, yes. But not cups or cans or anything like that. So we showed that you can in fact not throw objects at opposing players celebrating in front of you.
Dada-Luke suspended for two games. Apparently whacked a ball out of a ball boys hands to waste time, and then make an obscene gesture toward the fans at the end of the game that resulted in the big scrum:
Greg, this. I can’t stand Henry, but he executed a master class in catching crosses, and corners yesterday. An especially contentious one close to the PK spot. And really, referees side with keepers that get bumped, when their arms are extended trying to bring it in. I know I’ve received the benefit of the doubt many times.
And I’m no angel either. I’ve received many time wasting yellows, so I’d be a hypocrite. Didn’t stop me from shouting my counting tho. Lol
Goalkeepers....just the worst...

Not sure if this helps or hurts Cavalry against PFC. Dada-Luke is one of the better fullbacks in the league but for the past while PFC has essentially had him isolated on the right side by himself without much wing support. Cavalry overloaded that side and just passed around him in their game a couple weeks ago. Now Pacific will have to alter that approach
Planning to attend on Saturday. Recommendations for good sections/rows to sit in, or sections to avoid? Going with 2 kids, 11 and 14. Any other game day tips welcome. Thanks.

Close to the 200s (Supporters section) is the most fun.
You can go for the south side of the 100s if having cover is important, but still close to the supporters (pending the forecast as we get closer) and a bit of a better view of the whole field (but with pillars to deal with).
If you want sun, the north side seats are the cheapest as well.
I'm now over the Saturday loss. I remind myself that a) we're still in it, and b) we're already in Champions Cup, which is a way bigger prize to me than the league title.
Now looking forward to this Saturday. Let's make sure ATCO Field is packed and NOISY! Up the Cavs!

I'm still bitter because I missed the last trophy presentation, and I totally had dreams of a pitch invasion shattered.
That said, I would love for nothing more than for our team to have a celebratory group hug after being victorious at the final whistle in Hamiliton... with Kyle Bekker trapped in the middle.

It all depends on what type of atmosphere you want.
If you want to sit, I'd avoid sections 200 and 201. Everyone in those sections stand and sing / chant / drum / swear / light smoke etc. If you like the sort of thing, then section 202 is a decent section behind the goal. Or alternately sections 108 and 109 which are close to the atmosphere and also under a roof.
Here's the vibe from the main grandstand closer to the North end.
And a vibe from the Big Rock section at the top of 106 which is closer to the South end.
And the vibe from section 200 which is in the South end.

Doesn’t matter where I sit, my kids always move to sit on the grass in the north end, behind the goal. Which is actually a great view IMO. My kids are 9 and 11. They’ll actually be walking out with the players this Saturday. Great experience for them.

I don't understand why they season couldn't just end, and this need for playoffs. You play a season and the winner wins the title. Why must every league have play-offs?
The sporting culture here has it engrained that playoffs are required and that a playoff champion is the true champion. So that's what it will be. You can't swim against that culture, no matter how the rest of the world does the game.
I think the real issue here is that Cavalry just can't win in the playoffs.
We saw their mental fragility on full display Saturday. Come out, take the game to Forge, but don't capitalize on their chances. Then a cheap corner given away, a Forge player winning the header against three defenders and suddenly Forge are in control and Cavalry are completely rattled until Camargo hits the crossbar midway through the second half. This despite dominating Forge the last time they played at home and Forge requiring two late equalizers to get draws earlier in the year.
The table and Cavalry's 13 point lead on 2nd place dictates they should be the class of the league but once playoffs come it was same Cavalry.

Just wanted to point out that this isn't what happened. Carducci "won" the cross, but instead of catching it, he punched it right into the back of either our player or theirs. (I couldn't quite tell).
I'm looking into flights next Friday to Hamilton if the Cavs win this week. There's a direct Lynx Air flight to YHM on Friday and then return on Sunday for $333. Honestly, not bad...

Well, I don't wanna say it....but my son was sick last game and couldn't sing the anthem. Looks like he's on the mend and should be able to this week. The last time he sang, we played Pacific and beat them...
IT'S MEANT TO BE!!
