Phillips got a goal tonight. Ovechkin didn't. Since everything in hockey is best judged by a one-game sample size, Phillips is a better goal-scorer than Ovechkin.
The Flames gave away the greatest scorer in the history of the game for nothing. Serves them right.

Maybe the coach's toxic negativity and lack of communication are sapping kadri's enthusiasm for the game.

I missed most of the 1st. Most of the game I watched was a sluggish game between two teams that think they're good enough to compete but clearly aren't

Good game by Marky, and the depth players. If our "stars" decide to show up we could be a decent team, but I just don't see it yet.

I think Tanguay was much better player than Huby. Tanguay likes to pass for sure, but he is much better in all areas than Huby.

Markstrom looks good which is really encouraging. I don’t see a 30 goal scorer on this team though.

Agree with the Kadri criticism. His body language doesn't look like he wants to be here. Great that the Flames signed him long term.

.500 hockey. I think thats about what we can expect from such a poorly built roster that Conroy inherited. Really hope we dont extend Lindholm and unload what we can at the deadline. This team is just not likable the way its constructed I have a hard time really caring if we win or lose after last seasons debacle.
Lets just rip the bandaid off and be good for 2027. The last thing I want is to continue being a bubble team (usually on the wrong side of the bubble).

If huberdeau is the one your hating on after that then I think it's misplaced.

One thing - Dube and Kadri have been terrible together defensively going back to last year.
I would rather see Sharangovich-Kadri-Ruzicka I think

I still think Huska didn't give Shangovich a long enough look on that top line. You have to play him with good players to get anything out of that shot he has. 4th line centre? Wtf.

- Won one they should’ve lost
- Lost one they should’ve lost
- Lost one they should’ve won.
I’ll take 1-1-1, 3 games in, considering we were 2 posts away from 2-1-0. Some areas to clean up but lots to like as well. Really needing one of our veteran stars to step up though. Looking at you #10 & #91.

Sutter was right about this team lacking game breakers. Kadri and Huberdeau are doing nothing to prove the naysayers wrong and Markstrom is still good for a softy against per game.
Take the point and move on is all you can do I guess.
