It was a nice play, if you can't at least admit that then you're just telling on yourself that you're biased against the player.

In the end whether Phillips turns into an NHLer or not is irrelevant IMO.

If you aren't going to give a guy who had 144 points in his last 131 AHL games more than 18 minutes over 2 games to prove he can potentially play in the NHL then you might as well not even have a farm team.

It's idiotic regardless of the result of Phillips career. I guess Ryan Carpenter, Tyler Pitlick, Brad Richardson, Radom Zohorna, and Nick Ritchie all proved they deserved those minutes more than him.

It's going to be a battle to get guys on his page on this team. You can see the shifty moves and passes he makes, but you also see most Flames forwards simply not ready and able to convert them. It's so bad.

Some people mad about the second one. Idk, bit of a softy but also an unlucky/bad deflection off our own guy

Chemistry with someone would help Huby shine even more than he has to start.
I agree that a top player to play with him would help, I don't see that player on our team though or us having the pieces to bring that in.

Better start to the 3rd than Pittsburgh, they haven't been scored on yet

Kadri is incredibly frustrating.

Shoots when he has a wide open player. Passes into feet to a covered guy when he has the shot.

That was a solid defensive effort by Walker there, good stuff.

When does the BS narrative of him not getting a shot end? He is 25 years old the whole NHL watched him in the AHL and said "meh no thanks" but sure he should hold a grudge against the Flames.

Weird, your sounding a lot like Lanny.

If they make a hockey trade with Lindholm they could absolutely bring that player in. But he probably won't be a center since those are so coveted.

Flames have some of the best/most attractive trade chips of any one this season so I don't buy into that.

It was a ok play and certainly not a sweet goal. That isn't denying anything just being honest about what happened.

Being honest about what Phillips has shown so far isn't being biased.

No team in the NHL was giving him a chance despite him putting up those numbers, should every team in the NHL "give up their pro scouting staff"?

I really have a hard time believing this narrative.

Hubrdeau is not some misunderstood passing genius whose passes are just so good his teammates can't keep up.

Crazy thought but I'd put Huberdeau, Coleman and Backlund together for a while to see if there's any chemistry

Lazy play by Huberdeau. First on the turnover. Then with the hook.

So you are claiming that the Capitals who finished 13th in the East last year with 80 points are a good team?

Not sure what sounding a lot like another poster has to do with anything other than you trying to avoid talking about the points I raised that you can't counter.

10.5 million dollar turnover followed by penalty. Looking great!

Please kill it.

Looks like caps are swinging this game in their favour though. Probably only a matter of time.

I don't see that hockey trade out there. I think if it was it likely would have already been made.
