We aren’t going to know what we have here until at least the end of the month with a new coach and system. Pretty rough start but the first few weeks of the season are extended preseason. Huska is also learning on the job.

I mean they're the oldest team in the league, a non playoff team that is now a year older. If we "expect to lose this one" then we are in serious trouble, lol.

People have different opinions and you're not going to like a lot of them.

Even when I agree with you, seeing every 3rd post by you in every thread is over the top and destroys many thread. You don't need to defend the Flames from every single opinion.

I mean this constructively because you're obviously an active member of CP, but sometimes less is more and it will be better for your own enjoyment to not take every fight on.

Ya if you expect to lose to non-playoff teams from last year who do you expect to beat? Colorado?

Coronato is tenacious in the offensive zone, but doesn’t use his body. In the defensive zone, he needs to be stronger on the puck and place his body between himself and the opposing player.

Baby steps.

The forward lines have very little chemistry. I think we need a rethink there for sure.

The guy said two games is all he needs to know the Flames will finish sixth...that isn't an opinion

Others are just bringing up past grudges...it was a dumb post

Yeah, imo we've gone with the worst options so far, which makes me hopeful for what can happen when we get the right combos.

I actually really liked the 4th line tonight. Good energy. Some mistakes but I think they can figure it out.

After the first 6 games last year, the parade route was being planned and it well…didn’t go that way.

After 2 games this year, we have no real idea how it will go.

I didn't expect to lose but they had 2 massive additions to last years team. They have the horses if you take your foot off the gas.

Brad wrecked the team with the handling of Gaudreau and Tkachuk and then saddled us with this Huberdeau contract and bailed on the team. It’s going to be a long few years here before we recover from his GM tenure.

Some things never change. Death, taxes and Dino getting butt hurt over every critical opinion on the Flames.

Man, I love that fourth line. Ideally Sharangovich moves up, but Duehr and Greer are awesome together. That's a deadly combo of speed and tenacity.

It's so much better than the 4th line historically being a dumping ground for mistake contracts.

Really going out on a limb by betting me they’ll finish one spot higher lol.

No I’m not being dramatic. I’m making an observation. Two games is not enough to determine if a system is going to work. Or writing a player off after two bad games. Or leaking too many chances in our own end.

But two games is enough to see we don’t have enough talent to create enough chances offensively this season.

You’re welcome to disagree, but that’s my opinion on this team.

Markstrom was amazing for a good chunk of the game and stole game 1.

If that is a trend, this will be a good season for the Flames.

I get the frustration. It sucks to feel like you wasted three hours of your Saturday night on a game that you had high expectations for. I do think that there is a lot more positives showing so far than we saw after the initial sugar rush to the start of last season.

Well it’s not fact, because the season isn’t over yet. So if it’s not fact, that would indeed make it an opinion. Go to bed.

Don’t forget the Kadri contract. Honestly I think that one might be worse, he’s just horrible, and the kind of player you hate playing with. At least Hubes plays unselfishly even if he hasn’t found his game here yet

1-0 lead going into 3rd period, against an older team that played the night before and they do that?

The defense is good on paper, but definitely has a lot of work to do. We'll see if Huska can coach them into high proficiency as the season goes on.
