I thought he was as advertised and pretty good...he has no hands though.
Great opportunity and basically fired it right into the side of a barn.

His screen caused the Weegar goal. Solid game overall, he came as advertised IMO.

Johnny Beecher’s emergence might have spelled the end to Greer’s tenure in Beantown. Like Greer, I’ve always liked JB back to his draft year. The two players are very similar- 6’3”, good skaters, rambunctious physical style. Beecher has 1 NHL game under his belt, with 0 points and 7 PIM already. I would say that JB has a bit more of a “presence” on the ice than Greer, can play C, and may be a better fighter.

I thought Greer looked and played a lot like Lewis - fast, physical, responsible.
A younger, faster, bigger, more physical Lewis, if you will

I believe in the Jays.

He was ok. Better then Lucic (who he's basically replacing IMO) so it's an improvement to the 4th line.

Quite meh for me - which is as expected for a waiver 4th liner pick up.
That 4th line would be much more dynamic when Pelletier is ready.

4th line looked the best for most of the game.

Seasons are long and based on first impressions the pickup actually has me quite excited. He came in with basically no practice time with the club and didn’t look out of place and even had 1 of our 5 HD scoring chances that he almost cashed on early on. If that goes in we are hearing about what a smart pickup this was versus the discussion points being made right now. I fully believe Greer gives it his all every game, he played with a good motor and was looking to finish checks he’s just got to get up to speed with the systems and the structure. I predict a fan fav out of him by December.

I think some, including the press are doing him a disservice by calling him a Lucic replacement or a fighter. He’ll fight, but he’s not a fighter. His value is in playing a hard, fast physical game. I’d encourage him to play his style and avoid fighting unless it’s absolutely necessary. He’s not good at it and it takes away from his game.

He wasn't fast in terms of speed. Lewis was always hustling, moving his feet, and working his behind off. That's why I always had the impression he was playing with pace.

Younger Lewis in LA was really fast. Sutter echoed that as well.

Except you want 40 per page. 60 is too much scrolling. 20 is too much page clicking. But 40 is just right.
