Cenk Uygur, the creator of the progressive news commentary show The Young Turks, announced Wednesday he’s running for president as a Democrat
Uygur, who called himself a “break glass in case of emergency” candidate, said Biden needs to quit the presidential race because he “has at best a 10% chance of winning” against former President Donald Trump.
Cenk may not be as dumb or self-absorbed as Trump, but he's dumber and more self-absorbed than most Presidential candidates, and that's saying something.

no serious Democratic candidate would ever run as long as the incumbent plans to run again, so the only ones coming out of the woodwork are clowns like Cenk. He was also born in Turkey, so he has no shot either way.
His "Biden has a 10% chance" is dumb af as well. Biden beat him in 2020 and I'd be shocked if Trump did so much better in swing states next year. National polls are absolutely useless at this time, too.
Some state level polls also show Trump leading which is concerning.. and the margin of victory in swing states for the last couple of elections has been small enough that he doesn't have to do so much better, just has to do a tiny bit better.
Combine that with changes to the laws and voter suppression efforts and/or lower voter turnout due to people still feeling the effects of high inflation and interest rates, lagging Ukraine support, general desire for a younger candidate, etc it really doesn't feel like a Trump victory is all that unlikely.
Hopefully things like abortion and Trump's trials offset that.

don't see how he gets to 217 if Scalise can't get there. Saw a comment from a GOP representative yesterday basically saying that Jesus himself probably couldn't lead this caucus, and it's pretty fitting. Turns out the "adults" are just petty children who love to throw tantrums and create chaos. Who knew?

not saying it can't happen, just don't get the 10% BS that Cenk is spewing to justify his run. Are Trumps numbers concerning? Sure. But we're still a full year away. A lot can happen in a year, so I think it's a bit early to panic.

I will say that the possibility of a second Trump term absolutely terrifies me. I mean, the whole idea that somebody like him even has the opportunity to run again is bat#### crazy to begin with, but if you listen to him these days, he's clearly unravelling fast. During a recent rally, he said he won against Obama ... the man is clearly not well. Add the fact that he is routinely praising dictators and authoritarians, and the fact that he happily calls the Hezbollah "very smart" ... man. If there's one thing that an unstable world doesn't need, it's a lunatic wannabe dictator in the White House.
I don't think he'll win, but the fact it's even a possibility is terrifying. Scary times.

The prospect, as slim as I think it is, of a Trump win scares the crap out of me. Not only for all of the valid reasons you mentioned, but Trump has promised to come after all of the (many) people who he feels have wronged him. The obvious targets are Biden, Hillary, Obama, Jack Smith, all of the judges who have and will declare him guilty, the lawyers whose podcasts have come for him, late-night hosts…. The list is long.
Then there is the descent into fascism. Trump will try to turn the country into a dictatorship with him as dictator for life, likely then passing the throne to family members. This would embolden the crazies in Canada.
The prospect, as I said, terrifies me.

I can with 1,000% certainty confirm that the GOP would never let a Middle-Eastern, socialist, brown, Jewish, tradesperson lead them anywhere.

It is unfathomable to me that someone could vote for Trump, yet it won't surprise me if he wins. America is so broken. Biden is doing so much good for citizens, and so many don't seem to care. If Trump is elected, it will be a giant shift towards authoritarian rule.
