I see you’re in Edmonton. Care to swear allegiance to the Flames?

Why do people think we have a good D group? I haven't really been able to figure that out yet. We don't have a #1 and our best guy (Andersson) is most likely heading up the middle pair on a contender (doesn't have the defensive prowess to anchor the top pair, and doesn't have the high-end offence to drive it either).

The only thing we really have going for us is our low end isn't really that that low. With Kyilington dressed, we have 3 middle pairings. I mean that's definitely something, I just don't know if we'll be winning any games from the backend.

I’m pretty sure Sportnet doesn’t know the difference. Everything outside of Toronto and Montreal is considered the Edmonton market.

Forced to move here from closer to Calgary for work 2 years ago, I would never cheer for the Oilers.

They have been playing man in their own zone for years, changing to zone and getting comfortable with it is going to have growing pains.

I think your take here is way off base. Both Andersson and Weegar are top pairing guys on the majority of teams. The Flames have 5 solid D men.

They still need to refine the chemistry but Kadri and coronato could be dynamite together.

It was Vancouver with the Sedins until the Oilers sucked their way into McDavid. Maybe if the Flames ever sucked bad enough to get a McDavid, Matthews or Sedins, only then will they get that hype.

He’s not slow but Coronato definitely looks an awkward skater. They need to channel his arm movements into his stride a bit more fluidly.

I thought it was pretty telling when Huska talked about the switch, and essentially said that man-to-man requires a high amount of skill and zone would be a better fit for our group.

Sadly Sportsnet cares/can afford no attention outside their main game. Ridiculous.
Was downtown Toronto at a “sports bar” and they couldn’t pull up the game.
I swear every move the NHL has made makes it harder to watch (physically or politically).

Is it just me, or have they seemed to have solved the digital ads on the boards this year? Waaay less players clipping in and out of the background, it was so noticeable and irritating last year.

The Flames look really disjointed. Let’s hope they figure it out after a few games.
