where do you shop for clothes?
i'm in desperate need of some new threads, so just wondering what others recommend. i need some clothes for a casual business environment (quite casual, only real requirement being that shirts should have a collar), and finding things that are good to wear outside of work is a plus as well

For all my work shirts (mine need to be a dress shirt) I hit Winners they have some nice shirts and ties for a really reasonable price, I also get all my under wear and socks at winners…there is no better place for that type of stuff

It really depends on your style. You can find a lot of decent clothes at the Bay, and it's not too expensive. Moore's, Mark's Work Wearhouse also have different outfits at decent prices.
Best thing is to take a lady shopping with you and even though you will kill a lot of time shopping (to the point when you want to claw out your eyes), you should end up with some decent additions to your wardrobe.

the mall
seriously places like Tip Top, Winners, The Bay, I even duck into Le Chateau to see what they've got on sale from time to time.
Best advice I can give is to take female friends with good fashion sense along. You don't feel like a tool shopping for clothes by yourself, you get to have someone who enjoys shopping, girls generally get a high off picking out clothes for guys (I have a friend that comments everytime I wear a shirt she picked out for me), plus you get to spend quality time with a hottie.
Shopping with girls is different when you're the focus and want to be there, haha.

Not sure if you'd like the places I shop.
Once in awhile, I travel to vancouver and shop at AX and other stores that aren't available in Calgary.
However, in Calgary. For work, I would go to Henry Rosen, Banana Republic, Mexx, Aluminum Planet, Urban, and that Men's store (which name eludes me at present..well more like I always forget) across from Sushi Towa.

Oh, as a side note, I think Calgary's first H&M store is opening soon at Market Mall. It's kind of like a cross between Urban Behavior and Old Navy. They're a worldwide brand. You can find some funkier stuff there.

The knock off clothing market in Beijing. I wear nothing but Polo, Armani and Boss, all bought at 1/10 of the price! My Hugo Boss dress socks that I pay $0.50 for are sweet....got a hole? Toss em! Other than that my G/F dresses me at Banana Republic. I swear I'd wear t-shirts out of pilsner boxes if not for her.

I usually hit up Mexx, Banana Republic, Club Monaco, Zara and America... there's decent prices for fairly nice stuff at the last two.

You're single, aren't you? There's nothing wrong with them. At all. But apparently I left a little to be desired when I wore my Pil shirt, tucked into my Levis, with a pair of Caterpillar boots on. A little too redneck is what I was told.
