Yeah, unless it is about winning the ugliest jersey then I won't even bother. Is it because Frank was in studio?

Well that is interesting. I get it, he is trying to get the clicks from the Oiler fan base as they are gullible enough to pay for free content.

To be fair, Nurse is better than a top 12 D on most teams.
Oh wait…he meant as a group. Bwahhahahaha … snort … bwahahahaha
Edit … I figured out what he meant. If you list the NHL teams alphabetically Edmonton is the 12th team…hence their D is top 12. That must be it.

They are aren't they? Their D are good enough to make any team's top 12? Not top 6 no, but top 12 D yes.

Those offensive dynamo Oilers have played almost 2 periods tonight in Seattle and they have a whopping 6 shots on goal. And before anyone says anything, McDavid and Draisatl are playing in the game.

Well duh, they've only had 13:45 of ice time each after 2 periods. How can they be expected to produce with ice time like that!!!

Every publication says McDavid and Draisaitl are the best 1-2 centre punch in hockey. That would probably be true if Draisaitl didn't spend plenty of games as a winger as soon as the Oilers trail. He is a pure winger come playoff time. Media got to prop up their hero's though.

Weird. This has been a surprisingly quiet pre-season for the Oilers. Yes, there are the annual laughable predictions of Stanley Cup wins, but it feels like this is most commonly accompanied by a firehose of anecdotal nonsense about all the amazing things that are happening in Oilers training camp. Where is John Shannon breathlessly reporting the latest genius tactics that the Beav' has introduced to on-ice sessions? Where is David Staples's 67 paragraph summaries of all the "Grade A" scoring chances that McHobo had during power play drills? Where is Mark Specter to tell the world about the Oilers's 17th consecutive Championship in 2040?

Oilers trainers caused Ekholm injury.

A lingering Ekholm injury and the parade plans have to be in question.

“I’m hopeful it’s just going to go away, to be honest. I have no experience of having this, I haven’t missed many games in my career. I’ve never dealt with anything like this before so I have no idea. I hope I don’t have to (worry about it all year), but we’ll see.”

Don't forget the Oilers offered to trade Brule to the Kings for Smyth, but Brule wasn't cleared to play due to concussion. So the Oilers offered up Colin Fraser, who the Oilers doctors said was almost ready to return from injury...while Fraser said he needed another surgery on his foot to even think about playing.
That sequence of events provoked this line from Dean Lombardi, Kings GM:
The bottom line for me, I would have rather invested my money with Bernie Madoff
than invest in Edmonton’s word,” Lombardi told the
