Oh believe me, I've heavily contemplated trading in my vehicle and taking on another 60-80K in lease/financing to address certain "concerns" with my wife's driving.

But at that amount of money, I'm better off hiring an au pair for 2-3 years and reaping more benefits than just a chauffeur.

The moment there is an affordable self driving car or a vehicle with "significant driver assistance"... my wife gonna self Uber.

Adults who never emotionally progressed further than high school are a serious gear grinder.

Isn't this most of them?

My wife had a good one yesterday. She made a post on Instagram something about "I love when my best friends cooks for me!" or whatever. One of her old friends, who moved to Australia five years ago, messaged her all offended (completely seriously) saying "Excuse me, you have a new best friend??"

Like... yes, that's what happens when you move to the other side of the world, generally. Especially with friend relationships. People move on.

Holy #### I hate when people say that kind of thing. It’s so needy it makes my needy ass feel so uncomfortable.

Traffic chaos in RGMG at the new Hwy 1 (16th ave) and Stoney out west. It’s a freaking gong show trying to go northbound off Hwy1 now - worse now that Stoney south just opened. Have 4 lanes going into 2, each of which have their own issues.
And headed south on the morning have some cars zig zagging through pylons cos they missed the turn. Pulp a poorly placed, flashy lane closure signs too late, inability to comprehend zipper merges and shoulder check, etc. …sigh….

Thing with zipper merge is it should be 1 to 1. The odd time I leave too big a gap and someone merges early so when someone next wants in I am "nope I let my one in, zipper merge buds, zipper merge." more than one in one results in a broke zipper.

Calling anyone your 'Best Friend' is pretty juvenile all on its own. I have many friends, I have not sat down to create a hierarchy.

Its a little cringey.

"This is my BFF!!!"

*looks around*

Am I on a reality TV show or some crap? Is a Kardashian going to charge through the bushes or something?

I have a best friend but I don’t recall ever referring to him as such. We’ve known each other for decades and we were best men for each others’ weddings. We see each other regularly and our wives are friends.

God damn I had an interview today that I should have knocked out of the park. I was prepared, had great talking points, knew what I was going to focus on.

Interview comes, and I sucked. Like, maybe muddied my way through it but no where near the calibre I needed. Can’t believe it my worst interview is ever is the one I really could have crushed.

I feel like either you don’t know how the story of the monkey paw goes, or you had made a really weird wish on 81MC’s behalf.

There is a Vietnamese place on the corner from where I work.
Good food, never too busy, they know my order, I can take lunch and be back to work in 30 minutes.

That said, last time I went, I was double charged and never noticed just tapped and went on my way.

Is it wrong that I feel like never going back?

2 thoughts.

1) Sounds like you really like them? So consider it supporting a restaurant that's working in a tough industry? Probably just an accident, yeah?

2) If you have a reciept, maybe show it to em and ask for a comp? That's pretty easy for them to do.

Fat fingers can happen to anyone working a till, it's your job to make sure the bill is correct before you pay
