Perezhogin retires from CPHL?
As per this article:
http://news.sport-express.ru/online/.../nl186506.html
Translated using Babelfish:
Ufa "Salavat Of yulayev" concluded two-year-old agreements with napadayushchim Aleksandr perezhogin, who last two seasons spoke in favor of "Montreal", and as defender SKA by Mikhail Chernov, the press- service of Ufa club reports.
CPHL Rule:
Further to this method, IF a player signs a contract overseas that is longer than one year after playing in the NHL the year previous, he is also retired.

As per SPECTOR:
LA PRESSE: Jean-Francois Begin and Marc Antoine Godin report agent Don Meehan reports client Alexander Perezhogin of the Montreal Canadiens has signed a two-year contract with Salavat Yulaev worth $1.7 million per season, far more than the Canadiens intend to offer him. Althought Perezhogin had complained last season other Habs players, notably Guilluame Latendresse, were getting preferential treatment, Meehan said he believes financial and perhaps family reasons factored into Perezhogin's decision to play in Russia.
Nord's GM Jamieson was noted as saying: "CRAP".

These russian deals are tough to judge. Players have signed in the past and then just used it as a bargaining chip. So for now the league will not move on any retirement.
Big blow to the NHL Habs too if true.

Yeah it is a fairly big blow losing a guy like Perez for nothing, he has been rumour in many trade talks and was expected to be moved. However he hasn't really developed into the top six guy everyone expected , he still has the potential to break out, or at worst he is a very good 2 way 3rd liner who can play at both ends of the ice.
