MLB record is 16 runners left on base in a 9 inning shutout. Blue Jays at 9 after 6 innings.

It's good for a 162 game grind, but playoff baseball is just so much more about gut and feel and whats happening in real time.

The ownership Fired AA / drove him out of town , and then the new management bad mouthed him on the way out when he gave us the only roster to win a playoff game in 20 years.

Baseball gods already delivered AA a World Series since

AA will have won more World Series then the Jays have won playoff games in 20 years in seasons when he wasn’t the GM .

7th inning coming up.

Might be a good time to get a run, boys. Just saying.

Ken is exactly right - good on him for putting it out there, even though Rovers owns him too

The way AA was run out of town and the vitriol spewed towards him was embarrassing. All he did was provide 2 of the most memorable seasons in Jays history. As well as MVP calibre players and characters. Ross Atkins is a dork who has had double the payroll AA ever had. And done nothing with it. And love him or hate him. Vlad was a AA pickup.

Wasn't Moneyball all about valuing on base percentage and not stealing? Don't remember Jonah Hill telling Brad Pitt that Barry Zito should only pitch 3 innings.

Like...I wonder if these guys actually feel embarrassed? They're an actual joke...

Everything is so predictable with them.

Belt looks like early season Belt. Terrible.

Can't Davis Schneider pinch hit for one of these guys??? What is there to lose?

I was annoyed that Schneider pulled Barrios when he was still low in the pitch count, and looking good, but when you get 1 run across two games, it just doesn't matter how good or bad the pitching is.
Might as well have started the game with Manoah.

AA probably would have traded Vladdy early. He's mentioned in the past that assets are there to trade for stars.

I would like to repeat that blaming this on "the spreadsheets" or "analytics" would be giving Schneider a pass.

There is no chance in hell that any analytics would say to take out your starting pitcher after three innings, when he hasn't been hit hard, and has 5 strike outs, and has only been through the lineup once...in order to bring in a starter who isn't a bull pen pitcher, with a man on base, in order to get a LH-LH match up.

It was a managerial decision that was just overmanaging the game that had nothing to do with analytics.

Belt lighting it up from the 2 hole - 0-8 with 5 ks

Good thing we moved Bichette down in the order . Him and Springer back to back would look horrible with their hits

Our DH is 0/8 with 5 strikeouts. He better start doing something else cause hitting doesn’t seem like his thing.

I agree it was a managerial decision - I don’t believe it was Schneider though who made the decision

This had to come from above this was how they wanted the game managed today . Had too . Right ?

Would have been a shrewd move getting a big return on him early, hindsight being 20/20.
He's turned into a pumpkin.
