To be fair Kirk did a good thing there. But because Vladdy was at 2nd and they didn't have to hold anyone on they played it perfectly. This game is over. Congrats Twins. First win in 18 years. Jays are now going to be the longest playoff losing streak.

So where are my bj apologists? This is the classic team assembled this year. Frankly I’m shocked glad got on base but in true fashion runner left on with bad quick strikeouts.

Yet if Chapman's hit goes anywhere else in the park it's 4-3 Jays and everyone is singing a different tune.
Is the team built perfectly? Nope
But it's tough to predict guys like Vlad, Springer, Manoah, etc having the seasons they have had which hurt this team further.
This is playoff baseball - the margins tend to be that slim.
