Oct 3 Waiver wire. UPD: Everyone clears
BOS
Alec Regula
Daniel Renouf
Anthony Richard
Reilly Walsh
Parker Wotherspoon
EDM
Seth Griffith
NJ
Erik Kallgren
OTT
Jared Bernard Docker
Matthew Highmore
Jacob Larsson
Egor Sokolov
PHI
Tanner Laczynski
Cal Petersen
Sokolov and Bernard Docker could be interesting claims.
Sokolov is 6'3'' 215 lbs RHS winger that had 21g 38a in 70 games in the AHL last year. 61st OA in 2020.
Bernard-Docker is 6'1'' 190lbs right shot d-man 1st round pick in 2018. Not a lot of offense in his game but for a team like the Flames with out a lot of RHS D-men in the pipeline could be a great depth option. From Canmore as well.

Not sure I would touch JBD, despite being a local kid- from Canmore, played Junior in Okotoks. Sokolov is interesting though, as a 6’3” power forward who was a late bloomer, with nice numbers in the AHL.

I'd claim Bernard Docker and Sokolov. Although I've read the Sokolov had a very disappointing training camp from the Sens perspective

Sokolov was the kid that was passed over twice in the draft. Picked in the second round, after a 92 point season (46 goals) in the Q in his 20 yo year.

Yea, isn't it any waiver claims have to play with the big club or they can be reclaimed by original team and go to their farm team if we try and send them down?

I see a speedy, skilled player in JBD, but I never see him affect the game much. Pretty vanilla, IMO.

Sokolov is interesting. There were some pretty high expectations for him going into camp this year.

Sokolov is much like Ruzicka, both are big guys with skill that have big problems bringing consistency. No need for Flames to put in a claim.

Nope. Players don't have to stay on the big team. They can be placed on waivers again if the acquiring team wants to try and send them down. If they clear, they can be sent down. If there is a claim, it follows the same waiver priority as always. If the original team is the only one to make a claim, then they can send him to the minors without putting him on waivers again.

At some point there will be a waived player better than Hunt or Rooney

Cal Petersen... a short while ago it looked like he had some promise to be a solid backup. That disappeared quickly.

I wonder who is slated to be Philly's backup?
Sandstrom was terrible last year too.
