Great show but agree on disappointing set list. I really thought it would be a full on greatest hits set with these 3 W Canada shows preparing for PowerTrip festival next weekend.

This is my 5th time seeing Iron Maiden.

It was probably the weakest setlist that they've played, but they are legendary performers - the show was still great.

To be honest, I've defintely heard them play a ton of my favourites before, so hearing some different material was actually kind of nice.

Final Frontier concert was a meh set list. This one was much better than that one. Their 2008 show here where they did Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner was incredible.

Yeah 2008 was an all time great setlist.

As someone who was largely a casual listener of Iron Maiden and could really only name three songs, I thought the concert last night was pretty good, although I do wish they would have included a couple of their ubiquitous hits like Run to the Hills and Number of the Beast for those of us who aren't superfans.

Yeah a band that's been around as long as they have needs to remember that every show they do is someone's first. Play the hits for ####s sake.

The Boss postponed Calgary show in November. Peptic ulcers.

The biggest disappointment was $60 concert shirts. They’re smarter than me because people still lined up in droves for them.

Couple pages back, it was a huge postponement, man.

The merch lineups were ridiculous. Then when my buddy was leaving, he found one of the T-shirts on the floor and it was in his size. $60 saved.

One of my friends insisted on finding the most meek-looking guy working the merch booth and asking "do you guys have any Iron Maiden thongs or g-strings?"

So....posting from Vancouver. Saw G&R last night at BC Place. Had heard a LOT of stuff about how badly Axls voice had gotten and that Slash wasn't what he once was etc.

Well that stuff simply isnt true. A couple times there were spots where 30 years ago Axl would have hit really high notes but last night didnt even try. That was just fine because the rest of his game is on top form. The energy and crowd engagement was top notch. The guys played for 3 full hours and never missed a beat.

Maybe it was lower expectations and that's why I enjoyed it entirely but Slash is still inhuman at times and the band is pure rock and roll. Highly recommend if thinking about catching them in Edmonton.

Alice in Chains is a different story. Sound was awful...guys looked robotic and rather disengaged. Sound quality may have had something to so with it too and the front man tried like hell...but really didnt click.

Alice in Chains is tough in huge venues, lot of mid tempo songs and Jerry's guitar style employs a lot of dissonant chords and parts that drone on, not the easiest stuff to get across live in a huge venue.

McCartney does it in his 80s.

For anyone wanting to learn a bit more about the business side of music, this youtube channel is pretty interesting.

See, I can hardly comprehend this. I'm reluctant to stand for two hours to catch a support act and headliner and I am in my 20s.

I stood all day at festivals in my 40s. I'm done with it now.
