I mean it's all relative if the Jays just win games but in that scenario I already counted this game as a loss.
Seattle holds the Tiebreaker against the Jays. So a tie and they get in. Jays hold the Tie Breaker against the Astros. The Astros also only have 3 games remaining to the Jays four. The easier path is through the Astros, if the Jays can't get their #### together

Cole is definitely pitching a complete game tonight.
64 pitches over 5 2/3?

Surely the Jays can score a run against Luke Weaver tomorrow...

Yeah that's what I was just discussing. He's most likely to win the CY Young but if he could finish his season with a complete game shutout that would be a bitter sweet ending to his season so I can't see any outcome of the Yankees pulling him this game. Of course bearing any complete implosion by coles part of course.

Such a frustrating team to watch. Cole is awesome but they needed to just try to fend pitches off early, foul off lots of pitches. Instead they were in full swing at first pitch mode and that’s not a recipe for success.

Cole and Judge show tonight.

In some of his saves he has looked unhittable. Maybe a few less innings is how to handle Romano. Hicks can come in late for non save situations.

I honestly don't know why I'm actually still watching this game lol. I think more to see if Cole can pitch a complete game shutout.

Cole is a great pitcher. But for the Jays and their plate and mind mentality these past days weeks etc, they'd probably resigned themselves to the fact they were inly going to get 2-3 hits, before they even took the field.

Better pull it back tomorrow, or they'll be reminders of 1987 ominously popping up all weekend.

Crazy that Alek Manoah was chirping Cole last year. Karma definitely hit back.

I'm looking at the individual player stats this year for the team and they're nothing short of bad.

Avg: aside from Bo at .304, nobody is coming close to .300
Runs: Springer leading with 86 then Vlad at 75
RBI: Vlad with 94 then Springer and Bo with 71

When you compare those to the league leaders and look at the list they're not even close for any of those. So as much as I give certain players credit for coming through (ie: Bo), they clearly haven't done other things effectively which they have in years past. Even Kiermeier we give tons of credit, and only 35 RBI this season. Again, I ask, as a TEAM how is this likeable? Shut out in a stretch run for 18 innings against a struggling team. This should be examined in the off-season. Can't tell me something isn't amiss.

Can't believe they just got 4 hit shutout over the last 2 games. They haven't clinched anything. Far from it. Going to be a struggle now.

It’s crazy how much worse they are hitting at home than on the road. Guess that’s a plus if they make it in being on the road.

Bo Bichette is honestly the only batter I get a bit excited for when he comes up to bat. The other 8 spots in the lineup I honestly expect nothing. Matt Chapman I just assume it's going to be a strikeout, Vladdy a double play if Bichette got on and even Springer I assume strikeout. The most exciting part of the lineup always has seemed to be the 7,8,9 spots and then the top of line up can never do anything if those guys got on base.

The Yankees came to play spoiler and I’m guessing the rays aren’t going to fold over either.

I really don't get Schneider. I realize Cole is amazing, but if they have a book on the vets and we're out of the game, try playing some of the younger guys who they don't have too much prep for. Getting shut out two games in a row is unacceptable down the stretch. Unbelievable.
