I was half listening, but think I heard someone on "Flames Talk" yesterday saying that Gilbert's injury was not as bad as they had originally thought.

I guess that means it will be blacked out on TSN?

Rosie doesn't need to win every Puck battle but he does need to get to 50/50 if he wants a coaches trust. Such an intriguing player with his hands, vision and frame.

TSN is a regional broadcast for Jets games. Although you could probably watch it with Center Ice on Shaw and Telus if you live outside the Jets broadcast area.

Gotta imagine no news about Pelletier is bad news.

It's unfair to the player to hold him to a higher standard because he's bigger. Sure, Ruzicka's game would be better if he was more physical without losing anything else he brings to the table, but that doesn't make his game bad as it is.
Not playing direct, and not playing on the right side of the puck in a support position ... even passively is a bigger issue to me than his lack of physical play.

This is THE tryout roster, Everyone except Zadorov, Weegar and Mangiapane need to prove that they belong.

Except positioning is what we are talking about....no where did i say battling in corners/big hits. (though that would be great as well) He doesn't use his size IN ORDER to help himself be positioned where he needs to be.

Its why he doesnt dress regularly.

Yup. Baertschi wasn't big but he had the same problem. He looked like he was trying to forecheck but he'd always be behind the player and the puck instead of between them. For him perhaps he was intimidated by size - Ruzicka shouldn't have that issue. He has decent speed and a big wingspan.

He was supposed to get an MRI yesterday, so I expect there was nothing new to report one way or another until the doctors had taken a look.

Its crazy that when you give some of your prospects and players in the system a legitimate chance to make the team they show out.

I know who you're digging at ...

But has there really been much change? (has to be some for sure).

But Coronato played on an AHL line when he scored a hat trick.
They still sent the #1 pick and some solid prospects to Seattle with no one to play with.

Seems pretty similar.

Last year though Zary looked good but Pelletier did nothing with his ice time (which he's discussed this fall).

It's "in" to hammer on Sutter, but the biggest difference is Coronato getting it done.
