Nah. Podkolzin was in the AHL last year... Hoglander, Studnicka, Aman, Hirose, McWard and McDonogh all have NHL games (as does Matt Irwin obviously) but none of them were actually full time NHL players last season.

Of this lineup, Suter, Joshua, Hoglander, Podkolzin and Hirose have a chance to make their team opening night and the only one who's a lock is Suter.

This is basically turnabout for the Penticton tournament when the Canucks sent a whole bunch of AHL talent (including a bunch of people in the lineup tonight) to play the Flames' kids.

Matthew Phillips held scoreless in Washington's loss to Buffalo.

The Huberdeau goal was sweet but what was even better was how the power play worked through him almost the whole time.

Yeah it was a beauty. Kadri with a good Crosby backhand impersonation on his goal as well.

You're right, I thought Podkolzin was with the Canucks all of last year, but that was 2 years ago.

Nice, I haven't got to that part yet. I checked NHL.com though and it looks like I'm only a fight and that Kadri goal behind you guys.

Oh and here's the fight now lol

Edit: not much of a fight tho

I am quite a few minutes behind, but it feels like a Kadri : Dube : Ruzicka line could be a thing.

From Canucks HF.
Didn't the Flames' equivalent of this line up go into VAN and SEA and win last year?

I know its early its really early, just rooting for the kid is all.

Nice to see Coronato put one in, watched that highlight already, just putting himself in the right place at the right time natural instinct type goal.
