Littler (7th round 2022) has committed to University of North Dakota for 2024-25. This season he will be switching to the USHL's Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.

Their preseason is already underway.

Any word on why he isnt going to NCAA this season? Being his D+2 19yo season it would seem strange to wait another year.

It was understood by Button and the scouting staff on draft day that he would be attending college in two years, originally for Minnesota State-Mankato, but he changed to UND after the coach at Mankato was fired. He was exceptionally raw at the time of the draft, and hadn't played any high-end level hockey-so I believe it was simply a developmental/readiness thing to make his commitment for his 20 yo year. Playing in the USHL is a step up from the BCHL, so he's just climbing the ladder.
