My thoughts are with all the Flames fans living in Oil country right now. Hang in there, don't let those big talking clowns get you down.

Good... get that wretched stuff out of my dressing rooms. I banned it last year in U13 as kids would put it in their water bottles and have sore stomachs by the 3rd period.
They could have all they wanted to after the game

This is the best part of the season for the Oilers (pre-season). it'll pass.

If I was in oil country (even though I would never be) I'd really milk the lottery thing.
They needed 4 first picks in 6 years, and they would've completely botched that run of three if it wasn't for the fourth one coming along to save them from themselves.
They had to make new lottery rules because of Edmonton sucking so hard.
If the Oilers picked only as high as the Flames have in that same time (4th), they would be a worse Buffalo right now and approaching two decades of darkness.
They're welfare darlings, and there's no defence against that.

The 2022 Playoffs were a rough time to live here as a Flames fan.

I like that analogy. It's like claiming you're rich after getting a welfare check.

I look forward to the Oil Change episode in a couple years named How Winning the Lottery Ruined my Life. Katz jr will be sitting on the hood of a blue/rusty Trans Am with T-bar roof drinking Colt 45 from a brown bag.

I used to think Crosby was a whiny baby, but he now comes across as being so much more personable and genuine than McDavid.
He was a way better face for hockey.

Imagine McDavid delivering season tickets. He'd probably put on a hoodie and sneak to the mailbox and leave as quickly as possible.

Remember a few years ago (pre-COVID) when he did an autograph signing on the pirate ship at the mall, then a few days later, he got really sick and the media sycophants blamed it on the dirty fans who he had to shake hands with?

Local Oilers media coverage has been run out of the team's PR department since the Bill Tuele days. From day one, team access was only granted to sycophants and the rest had to fall in line.

Really funny to read reporting out of Edmonton saying their new plan is to have their centres play their position in the D zone. I'm sure systems wise Connor and Leon have never heard that during their time with 3 coaches and it had nothing to do with them straight up ignoring it for the first decade of their careers.
Great to see those captains skates start early where I'm sure Conna was understanding towards his rookie dmen for not realizing he'd be at centre ice when they were battling below the goal line. Good things are coming there.
