Very true, a lot of what we are discussing I think relates to just how ugly of a year it was behind the scenes. Hopefully the team finds some success again and everyone (even me ) can take a deep breath and enjoy our team.

The thing that bugged people - his seeming lack of effort at the end - was never an issue in his career before was it? If not, his explanation seems truthful.

Definitely. Kadri is a good player, that I think unfairly took a reputation hit online for that poor effort against Chicago (?). He's a very good 2nd line centre. We need him to bring what he brought last year.

I think even that is under selling him: if Kadri is playing to his ability he is one of the best second-line centres in the entire league, and is arguably top-line centre.

I just want Kadri to use his dark arts again. It was a riot at the start of last season. All the little ####housery he would do. I love how he plays at a high level and still destabilizes the other team, gets them chasing him.

As a comparison to the lively debate here and around the Flames, the Sharks have ZERO buzz right now. They don't have a dedicated reporter on theathletic. Peshelka in the mercury doing some yeomans work, but nobody is really following. Who knew Couture is out indefinitely with a lower body injury that has been building up over the summer. No one really talking about Will Smith. Apathy abounds.

They do have Tara Slone who displaced some ex-Shark player (can't remember who) doing "sharks audio" on their app with in-depth reports on unique people in the sport and those making a positive impact on society. But not really reporting on the players and team. She's going to do some color in games which would be good. Huge fan of the broadcast crew (TV has Randy Hahn and radio has Dan Rosanowsky back for 33rd year and just won the Foster Hewitt award!!).

But overall, kind of a dud when it comes to a new season. Which is to be expected i guess when this team is destined for 32nd overall.

Just giving a comparison....Flames and flames fans are lucky so many care i think.
