As someone with a little coaching experience, I've always found that the best way to get to know your players is...ya know...talking to them. Like people.
No need for any subterfuge, just talk to them.
Whats next, is he going to stakeout their homes with binoculars and wait for them in the dark?

Invited a player for lunch and instead of lunch went through his phone his text messages pics etc and sent him away.
It was a younger player on the roster.
Sounds like a real creep.

Had a good chuckle tonight. Was at a friend’s I hadn’t seen in a while and he wanted to see pictures of the Sagrada Familia from our family trip to Barcelona this summer and asked if I wanted to airplay them to the TV.
And I swear to God if someone says 'Bob Nicholson' someone is going to have to burn the NHL to the ground....

These guys come in and it’s always a nice polite one. You serve them because you dont want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after awhile they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too.
And THEY bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh, this is a Nazi bar now. And its too late because they’re entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.
Insane that someone would do those things. After hearing the extent of what was done. Seemed to be painted as pretty tame when Johnny was interviewed. Good for the players association to dig in further and expose what went on. Good for the players for standing up as well and taking a chance as a whistleblower.
