For those speed bumps that do not extend entirely across the roadway, both my vehicles manage to have a wide enough track that if I line up just so, I can generally go over them without even noticing the bump is there.

Earlier this week I watched a Lambo SUV (I didn’t know they existed) poorly attempt a u-turn in a gloriously quiet neighborhood road. Only 1 parked car on each side of the street, slightly offset from each other. Lambo lady attempted uturn right there getting stuck perpendicularly to each parked car. Bizarre. Never mind there were open driveways all along.
Hey what does one of those SUVs cost? Ballpark…

Seeing people in 10 year old SUVs slow down to practically a stop when they see so much as a small lip on the road is something.
Do they think their tires are balloons and the suspension made of toothpicks?

Man, you know those people who think turning into the driveway of a parking lot from the roadway is an absolutely death trap, just about to gobble their vehicle and their children up whole if they make 1 wrong move? The ones that invariably manage to still end up on the wrong fuxking side of the driveway when the finally get their stupid ass out of the road? Those people should be publicly castrated.

I love the people that have to come to almost a complete stop for the dreaded Steel Plate on Roadway. Like what do you think is going to happen with that 1” lip?

They're the same people who do a Scandi Flick to avoid driving over a manhole cover.

You really don't want to be behind those people when they come across a cattle grate.

Either Beakerhead at Shaw Millenium Park or the people having a rager in Rosedale on the edge of McHugh bluff.

Occasionally I go to a bank to get change for my apartment washing machine.
I don’t understand why people are so slow at the bank. I’m constantly stuck behind old people, crazy people and stupid people that take forever for things that should take 60 seconds.
Even when I used to go to the bank for banking related to my business, it never took me more than maaaaybe 3 minutes.

Whoever at the city is responsible for granting permits and the terms thereof to road construction crews should be fired for gross incompetence. Immediately. The state of downtown is basically undriveable and has been for months. The entire core is premised on a series of one way streets and it seems like roughly half of the blocks are either shut altogether or have some significant impediment or bottleneck causing issues.
This is just totally unacceptable... there always has been construction, but not in a manner that is completely debilitating like this. You have to impose conditions on these companies that they don't just get to shut everything down while they're doing their jobs, limit the amount of space they can use and strike a reasonable balance between work being done and the usability of public space.
Infuriating.

Want some cheese with that whine?
If left up to the ignorant general public no construction would ever happen anywhere.
They don't just "get to shut everything down," and they already do strike a reasonable balance between work being done and the usability of public space.
Don't like it? Take the train.

#### right off with that nonsense. There's a large gap between "no construction anywhere" and what downtown looks like right now. The balance has not been struck, at all. It gives the impression that there has been no effort to consider the impact of this work, and the companies applying for these permits to close off entire city blocks to both cars and pedestrian traffic were just given blanket permission to do as they see fit, with no end in sight.
