I still predict he will score more goals than Toffoli does 5 on 5 this year.

Doesn't appear afraid to go to the front of the net. Flames can definitely use more of that.

I think the Flames sold high on Toffoli. But I also think he may do well scoring-wise this year just because he will have some high class linemates. Either Hughes or Hischier as a C and one of Meier or Bratt as a LW (Mercer probably plays the other top 6 RW spot). He's also playing for a contract.

Agreed, I expect him to have a good year (and the Devils will give him every opportunity).

My prediction was that Sharangovich outproduces him over the next three years. I doubt very much it happens this year (and fans will whine), but I fully expect we will look back on the Toffoli trade in a few years as a huge win.

I agree that Toffoli will be down the lineup and scoring less over three years (I didn't see your prediction - I was commenting on a different one).

I think this guy is going to pop this year. In a good way.

After watching the highlight reel of Sharangovich's goals, their was a lot key goal scored, late in the third to extend a lead or tie it up or late in the first to take a lead. Seems like ha can be really clutch with that heavy shot.

His catch and release is a perfect match for Huberdeau.

Huberdeau-Lindholm-Sharnagovich ?

That has some serious potential.

Looks like he can feed net front passes to a guy like Lindholm too. Good in tight.

Agreed. I don’t see how you don’t go with him and play him with Hubs and Lindholm.

Huberdeau - Lindholm - Sharangovich
Dube - Kadri - Mangiapane
Pelletier - Backlund - Coleman

Would be my top 9. If Sharangovich falters you can always throw him with Backlund and Coleman and allow Coronato and Pelletier to get some stints with the top line mates.

I haven't seen Sharangovich play enough to know for sure, but outscoring a guy like Toffoli who is a snipe show would be something. Had no idea Sharangovich was that level of sniper.

Toffoli scored 34 last year (which is a high although GPG he was probably better in his first Montreal season). His last season in Montreal and first in Calgary was 20 goals. But he' also had years where he scored 13 in 82 games. and lots of partial seasons due to injury. He's closer to a 20 goal man than a 30goal man, and he's going to hit a decline pretty hard with his lack of speed.

The finishing ability of this line would be nuts. It would be amazing if they worked as a unit well enough to play full time together.

After watching the games in Penticton I would pare Coronato up with a playmaker. Looking at the Flames roster that looks to be Huberdeau.

Coronato’s biggest skills are finishing and his shot. He’ll preform best with someone feeding him the puck in scoring situations. Not sure who else on the Flames would fit that bill.

I think Coronato would look very average and would be under utilized. minus that.

I definitely would not put Coronato with Huby. Huby said how he struggled trying to set up two RH shots initially. He has his best success setting up a LS sniper who can get the shot off quick. Assuming he is playing with Lindholm, a RS himself, you want that LS sniper on the other wing. That screams Sharangovich.

Coronato should be attached to the hip of Mikael Backlund while he is still with the Flames. It's worked for all top 1st year players, no need to change that.

As a kid, maybe around age 10, I played soccer with a guy with an 11 letter surname. we were able to travel to some US tournaments, so got jerseys made up with our names- as a skinny 10 year old his basically went from elbow to elbow
