As much as people hate them, the Spittin Chicklet guys are probably more like the majority of current players, including the ones we cheer for, than the overly media-coached versions we’re fed.

Whitney recognized that people just see them as clowns and easy targets to discredit, but was right to say that they have more inside info from players than any media personality. And, as he said, why would they lie? They would have absolutely nothing to gain from a lie that would be easily revealed as one.

I myself don't, but their gross misrepresentations influenced actual journalists like Friedman to pile on to the reaching instead of remaining measured, reporting the actual credible information, and waiting for the full story to come out.

It's an important take, when the population takes things from people like that immediately as fact and runs straight to pitchforks and then move on completely ignoring the real details as they come out.

So shouldn't we be going after the 'influenced actual journalists like Friedman' who pile on, and not the podcasters who likely just want to stop seeing the same #### happening to players now that they've dealt with in the past?

Problem is, they are not Journalists, they’re Entertainers.

We are in an unprecedented time where satire, shock-jock style ‘shows’, and news are seen, and acted upon, as the same thing.

In situations like this, history has shown that the truth in a case like Babcock is somewhere between Commodore’s take, and Johnny’s take.

And people in these positions like this with a large audience and group of followers need to have a little respect for the situation and be better people knowing what impacts they're having, but they don't care.
