"It feels like the game is over" Herbstreit says with a 13 point game, trailing team has the ball, and 11 minutes left? Hmmm....

Trying to force AJ the ball and losing FG position in the process could be a big time turning point

The no-call on the clear DPI didn't help matters.

The close game magic the Vikings had last seems to have worn off - 4 fumbles and 4 lost fumbles is a bit unlucky for sure.

Both Vikings lines are bad.

Agree

But Slay has been getting away with quite a bit on Jefferson.

Hate that play call at the end.

A Hail Mary jump ball that's still 20 yards short of the end zone makes no sense. Just praying for a flag.

You'd be better off throwing it 30 yards or so and hoping that blocking and missed tackles happen

Still a better play call than the Cowboys play against the 49ers in the playoffs. Maybe Cousins had Jefferson in fantasy and wanted to snag a few more points.

Vikings are getting some adversity early. Wasn’t the case last year. I think they’ll be fine, I liked the fight they had. Hockenson showing he fits right in and Jefferson being Jefferson.

Shame that Jefferson’s touchback ultimately costed them the game.

I don't know if I would call it adversity. More sloppy football with a -6 turnover differential in two games. They were the better team last night but can't get out of their own way to start the season. Cousins putting up MVP numbers through two games on an 0-2 start kind of sums up his career.

I guess what I mean by adversity is the Vikings had a very favorable record last season by pulling away with a lot of close wins by one possession. They've lost that battle twice now, and they've shot themselves in the foot both times.

So they didn't show they could fight through adversity last year when they kept pulling out miraculous, undeserved wins where they were constantly losing in the 4th quarter? The only difference this year so far is they haven't gotten the magic/luck/other teams choking things they got last year. But otherwise they very much look like the exact same team as last year, a mediocre (at best) team who have close to a 0% chance of winning the Super Bowl. The fact both their lines are terrible makes it hard to see them as even a playoff team, although the weak NFC helps.

I'm still sad that there's 10 more prime time games alloted to the Giants and Jets. I would rather watch the Vikings stumble and bumble their way to a loss than the two NY teams ruining primetime games.

Ouch man, ouch!!
Vikings fans know all this stuff internally, we don't need to read about it too! But for us life long Vikings fans .. "This is the way"

That was a fun second half last night, didn't seem like it would be. Impressive mini-comeback for the Vikings, Jefferson was a machine that 2nd half. Man the Vikings were turnover machines though, it felt like I was watching the 2009 NFC Championship Game again..

One thing that is clear is that Jalen Hurts is not a top tier QB, basically a running back with a weak arm.

He doesn't have the explosiveness of a Lamar Jackson or the arm talent.
