Apparently he did a lot of learning from kids to better understand how to connect with the players of now.
Sounds like he hasn't done a lot of learning.
Just seems like a weird way and a real breach of privacy to connect with your new team by requesting pictures.

Babcock's desire to hold all power over his players & their careers, paired with his willingness to abuse that power in the past, is what makes this situation so uncomfortable.
If Craig Conroy is getting to know new players and asks to see pictures of their families, you don't think anything of it. Totally different though when it's an emotionally abusive coach like Babcock, and if it were me, I'd be entirely uncomfortable with having Babcock learn any details at all about my life outside of the rink.

Mike Babcock should never have been hired in the first place just a stupid move by the Jackets.
Looks like they didn't do a lot of vetting on their end and it might end up biting them in the ass.
A few of the other players have come out and said its not just the pictures things he is power hungry and abusive and won't change.
