It looked like Peter Hanlon(VP of communications). Unless you meant Francis in the Huberdeau interview I wish he'd stay off camera too.

I've noticed him for years, looming in the background, but had no idea who he was. Thanks for clarifying.
Still, definitely has crappy vibes when watching interviews. Personally don't like it.

He essentially is a bodyguard.
He's standing by in case the team and player(s) need protecting from questions/comments etc. He directs the whole thing. Also, a lot of players are too polite to cut things off so he'll often let the media know it's time to wrap things up, etc. I always hear him say, "two more questions, guys" or something similar.
I mean, as the PR Director (Director of PR? is it just me or does it seem like there's a difference between those titles?), he responsible for much more than just being a communications bodyguard, but the rest is off camera.

I could never be a GM because I'd probably make the wrong decisions due to "non-hockey" reasons. Like, for Backlund as an example, I think the Flames are going to trade him, but for me, I think he'll want to stick around and retire in Calgary if the team does well this year (which I think will happen). Makes me a bit sad to think about a guy who bleeds red having to watch his former team be successful after he stuck it out for so long.

I wonder if there's kind of an acknowledgment on Lindholm's side that he's been underpaid for the last 4-5 years here... or maybe 3-4 years... and they want to make sure they get fair market value this time.

But some people here were already telling us nothing has changed because Conroy didn't make any trades yet other than the Toffoli one.

I feel like Conny and Iggy should bring Reggie in to be their spokesperson.
GM: Conroy
HC: Iginla
GC: Kipper
Layer between those three and the fans/media: Regehr

Steinberg and another fellow on 960 were talking about juicy bits from Zadorov interview, saying they recommend listening to it.
Anyone has a link?

Naw, I like that Reggie literally has no filter.
He'd be like "yeah well they have a pretty huge mess to clean up, so give them some time to figure it out. Previous management really hosed us on the way out."
And he'd also be like, "hey, I hear ya. I've been trying to get them to switch the D pairs up for the last few weeks, but I don't make those calls."
It wouldn't just be to protect them, it would also be to entertain us!

Zadrorov Chat
Some great tidbits from Z - Don't fly with American Airlines
- Unfinished Business
- We're not going to try, we're going to make the playoffs
- Not going to score 14 goals again this year
- Waiting for an offer
- Didn't make the playoffs last year because not everybody bought in
- Focused on being a good top 4 D on the team, it's a learning process, he's still young and improving
- Thinks only one guy should be the captain, Backlund is the captain, and has been for the past 2 years
Wolf Exclusive interview
