I mean we saw how good Zach is last night, he actually created the great catch by G. Wilson with an absolutely terrible throw. He has negative pocket presence, his arm talent is overrated, and they clearly don't trust him (hence the thousand yard stare from Saleh after Rodgers went down). But since I'd probably advocate the Jets tanking he's surely the best bet there, so in that sense I'd roll with him. If they want to try and win then Flacco makes sense. Purely for the multiple primetime games they have this year they should get Jameis for maximum entertainment.

Its hard to imagine the Jets doing much even with Rodgers after seeing how brutal that line is in pass protection.

No way the Jets are a bottom 3 team at the end of the year. They have too many talented players on both sides of the ball. Regardless of what they do at QB, they should be a 7-9 win team at this point.

Problem is their defense is probably too good for a true tank into the top 3 - they are probably at worst equal to last season even with Wilson starting and that's 7-10.

For a top 3 pick they'd probably have to go 2-14 the rest of the way now and that's just not likely with that defense.

They could sign Wentz...or if Arizona is serious about tanking for Caleb Williams would they trade Kyler Murray to the Jets. Jets would have to live with Wilson for the next 4-5 weeks but I wonder if they would look at that. Arizona could take on Rodgers money (I'm assuming his career is over) but get out from that 5 year and $230M / $103M guaranteed they gave to Murray.

Why waste money on Wentz when you have a better player in the roster in Wilson? Unless you meant sign tank commander Wentz in order to chase Williams and Maye then yes I agree sign Wentz

Is Wilson better? I realize we're comparing different types of animal turds here, but there actually was a time Wentz was going to win MVP before getting hurt. Wilson has shown nothing whatsoever.

Really unfortunate for Rodgers, the Jets, the NFL, and fans like me who don’t necessarily cheer for Rodgers but enjoy the media circus he creates wherever he goes.

I wonder if the NFL changes up the schedule so we aren’t forced to watch Zach Wilson play in prime time 6 more times.

Caleb Williams isn't a guarantee at this point. Not sure if its just him posturing or real but if a team like Arizona is picking 1st sounds like he is going back to college, and to be honest the Jets history they would be a team on the list as well.

They could potentially go 7-10 but that's if they can keep Wilson healthy, he was taking some hits last night as well at one point he got rocked pretty hard and I thought he may come out of the game.

I’m a Packers fan and I hate Rodgers (if anyone wants a Packers Rodgers jersey, I have one to unload; I may get the name stripped off and replace it with whoever is 12 now) and was glad to see him go. I don’t like seeing anyone get that kind of injury but his career may be over.

Yeah that defense alone will keep them in a lot of games. They need to take a page out of the Arthur Smith playbook and go with a heavy ground game. Maybe take a flyer on Mariota as he can operate in that type of offense.

The only Jets game that can be flexed is their Thursday Night game in late December. Giants have no options for flex. Maybe have a ManningCast with each game, but every guest has to blow a 0.2 BAC minimum.
