My long-time friend's mom just passed away. She baby sat me when our family first moved to Calgary. I wish I was able to get back to Calgary to see her one more time before she passed. But I really feel for them right now and I can only really offer emotion support from a distance

Next time I trim rose bushes, I really need to remember to have on some sort of super thick, long sleeved jacket, & way better/thicker gloves that I duct tape to the sleeve. Because whoa, ouch scratchie.

I hope you never have to dig them up. When we bought our house the backyard had a couple rose bushes but I wanted to build a raised garden bed instead. I thought it would be easy enough but the roots on roses are crazy once they get established. Worst few weekends of my life.
