The crazy thing about Medvedev is that to date he has 20 career titles, but has yet to be a repeat champion at a tournament. I'm sure he would like to change that on Sunday.

I think Medvedev's career has really stalled after losing the AO to Nadal, he just hasn't been the same, much like Tsitsipas and Zverev after they each blew 2-0 leads in a Slam final. But he played unreal in that AO final (especially the first two sets) and the US Open final before that. Id love to see him win the US Open and return to the dominant hard court player he once was.

The women's final is a pick'em. I'll take Coco at home. Sabalenka played late Thursday and is a bit flakey.

Another streak that has remained intact on the men's side is that no man has successfully defended the singles crown since Fed in 2008.

Alcaraz understandably pulled out of the Davis Cup. That tournament has fallen so far from what it used to be

Last night was the best I've seen him play since he won the US Open a few years ago. He's going to need that same effort again tomorrow to win his 2nd US Open title.

Sabalenka takes the opening set 6-2. Not great from a quality standpoint, Aryna certainly more solid than Coco though as the Gauff forehand is not good thus far today.

Coco's defense and ability to run down balls is something else.

Sabalenka taking a MTO to cool off Coco?!? Or is it legit?
Edit: Aryna breaks Coco after play resumes.
Edit 2: Coco breaks right back and is serving for the championship at 5-2

Aside from the grand slam doubles crown, a ton of money on the line today in the women's doubles final. The losers split 350 grand, the winners split 700 grand.

I think I misunderstood your earlier bets, it looks like you are wagering on the spread of the total number of games won for each player. Thus, if Meddy was to win 7-6 6-7 6-4 6-4, Meddy would have won four more games than Novak, but if you took Novak +4.5 games, you would win the bet. Do I have that right?

Its Djokovic -4.5. Yes total games. The match winner is irrelevant.
For example, Djokovic beat Shelton 63 62 76. That's 19-11. So plus or minus 8 was a push.
