I honestly am not sure I've ever seen a Flames fan say that Hanifin is a Norris quality player.

Hanifin is a great player, and young, in different circumstances I'd love to lock him up long term over a few other guys, but in this circumstance, he needs to be moved.

A) Weegar is better, making Hanifin expendable
B) Calgary needs the assets for the prospect cupboards
C) Kylington and Zadorov can hold the fort down as the 4/5’s and play alongside Tanev.

Eklund making up some stuff regarding a Flames-Leafs blockbuster

Names mentioned were Mangiapane and Hanifin from the Flames and it was noted the Flames like Nylander, Liljegren, Knies.

Eklund is literally throwing names around. Not believing it for a second but maybe something different to discuss?
