I wonder if that is a dig against the Flames because they won't retire #14?

They need to force some rookie to take it, or give it to some nearly retired player to get rid of the damn association to Fleury. Aren’t there any #14 on other teams the Flames can trade for?

Ideally, a PTO who gets into a preseason game, and is then released. Just to break the curse.

Can the Flames threaten to sue? I mean, he's posting all these wild claims with the Flames logo very clear in the background. Is this not bad for their brand legally?

Can the Flames ask him to go live in the woods and stop bothering people? Take away his internet access.

The guy is a damn fool and an embarrassment.

No way the Flames have the balls or the desire to open this can of worms. The press would be off the charts. Heck, I doubt they even let someone wear 13 or 19 for a log time.

Farley lost his nose in the movie. Artie did in real life. Coincidence?

Both Norm and Saget (director) are dead, but somehow Artie Lange lives.

It would be like pulling off a bandage, just short-lived pain just so that this conversation around his number is done with forever.

Not as bad as if they announced they'd retired it now, after all that has transpired.

Also worth adding: Craig Conroy is too classy to put a player in the position of wearing the #14.

Conroy might consider it after fleury inevitably criticizes his results as a GM on twitter.
