This is madness. After taxes you're getting to like $4-5 a slice.
|
Yeah, 2 pizzas for $60, plus tax and tip, is getting pretty outrageous.

Everytime I feel like pizza is getting expensive, I just remember how much it costs our family to get McD's or A&W... Pizza it is.

Are there any decent places that sell by the slice? I know of CPU and FreshSlice but they range from mediocre to awful. I prefer somewhere in the inner city but any suggestions are welcome.

Fatih's. I know, I read it too quickly and also thought it was "Uncle Faith's".

I've had Inglewood Pizza and it's pretty good. I really love their baked lasagna.
I haven't tried Uncle Fatih's. I should give it a go.

Dandy Brewing in Inglewood does by the slice as well and it's pretty good. Thinner and wide NY-style slices.

No where near the inner city, but Estoria Pizza in Douglasdale sells slices and its extremely good greek style pizza.

For random reasons this made me remember Wicked Wedge by the slice. That place was so good in it's prime. A few beers at the Ship followed by a late night slice at the Wedge was doing it right.

I used to live behind it in a place called the Heath Block.
Great Pizza by the slice.

One of the weirder mysteries in Calgary. Lack of slices. You’d think more places would run with this and be successful, but it never seems to happen

It's our go-to. Finding it a bit salty lately, but that could be from over exposure.

That's where I learned the honey on pizza. Who would have thought that would be good. I miss that pizza.

My go to in the 2000s was a bunch of grasshoppers at the Ship and then a couple slices of Wicked Wedge to finish off the evening. Occasionally the Ship would be full, and we'd have to grudgingly settle for a seat at "Sal's" or whatever it was called before then.
